As locals, we can be guilty of taking it for granted! Perthshire offers the best of all worlds. Whether you're chasing adventure or simply looking to slow down, there's something here for everyone. We've shared some of our favourites below as a guide to help you discover Perthshire and all it has to offer.

Perthshire is home to 30 Munros (a Scottish Mountain with a peak over 3,000 feet). Whether you are new to the game, or an experienced Munro bagger there's plenty to conquer for an epic day out! Crieff (45 minutes) and Aberfeldy (1 hour) are the gateways to the hills!
If climbing isn't your thing, but you're looking for an adventure there is plenty more to get stuck in to.

- Wild swimming in any of the hundreds of lochs, take your pick!
- The Hermitage at Dunkeld (40-minute drive)
- Test your Off-Road driving skills at the Scottish Off Road Driving Centre (10-minute drive)
Whilst St. Andrews, the Home of Golf, is only 45 minutes away. Perthshire is home to some of the best Scotland has to offer, and with over 40 courses in Perthshire alone, there are lots to choose from! Steeped in centuries of history, Perthshire is home to some of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks.
- Blair Castle - 1 hour drive
- Huntingtower Castle - Once home to Mary, Queen of Scots (25-minute drive)
- Scone Palace - where Scottish Kings were crowned (25-minute drive)
- Falkland Palace (15-minute drive)
- Balvaird Castle (20-minute walk!) - as featured in Outlander!
The local area is has some of the best cafes & farm shops around. Loch Leven's Larder & Gloagburn are two of the must visits if you're doing some exploring. Alternatively, if you are looking for a morning walk plan from the comfort of the lodge, Arngask Farm has a fantastic selection of goodies from their pop-up-shop horsebox only a 20 minute stroll away.
And for those keen to explore the world of Scottish Whisky, Tullibardine, Strathearn, Lindores & Aberargie are some fantastic local options to pick up a couple of drams.
